Calories, Calories & more Calories

If you have ever dared to search the term ‘weight loss’ on Google no doubt you were bombarded with the word ‘Calories’ from every angle imaginable.

There’s a reason

Websites, nutritionists and personal trainers alike all shout from the rooftops about them, and you’ve no doubt been told that the little glass of wine you enjoy on a weekend is largely just ‘Empty calories’.

Why are they important?

To cut a looooooong story short, calories exist in everything we consume, from Nuts to Nachos, Peaches to Port. So it’s fairly important to know how many of them are in the things you consume. That’s if you care of course, about staying on the good side of the obesity curve.

They pretty much are the gold standard of where you should look to begin if you are concerned about your weight. Worry about overly complicated fitness program your best friend has just started until you’ve got part one nailed!

A good place to start
